Overview
Art and Illusion: Selections from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation will showcase more than seventy works from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation, one of the country’s most prominent art collections of modern and contemporary art. Such a significant selection of art created in this era has never before been seen in the Capital Region. Including paintings, photography and sculpture, the eclectic exhibition, curated by Billie Milam Weisman, celebrates artists’ use of illusion and humor to create new ways of looking at the world. The exhibition will include works by: Christo, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Red Grooms, Nam June Paik, Lesley Dill, Howard Kanovitz, Violise Lunn, Matt Mullican, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Christoph Schmidberger, and Jack Goldstein.
